Kathmandu: Kolkata Knight Riders have reached to the final by defeating Delhi Capitals by 3 wickets in an exciting match in the second qualifier match of IPL 2021.

Rahul Tripathi hit a six off the last ball of the match in Ravichandran Ashwin’s over to give Kolkata the lead.
In the IPL final, Eon Morgan-led Kolkata and Mahendra Singh Dhoni-led Chennai Super Kings will compete. The final will be played on October 15 at the Dubai International Cricket Ground.

Kolkata captain Morgan won the toss and elected to bat first. Batting first, Delhi lost five wickets in the allotted 20 overs and scored 135 runs. Delhi had played 45 dot balls.
With the help of Benkatesh Ayre’s half-century, Kofkata completed the target of 136 runs by losing 7 wickets in 19.5 overs. Benkatesh played 55 balls and scored 55 runs with the help of 4 fours and 3 sixes. Shubman Gill scored 46 off 46 balls with one four and one six. Rahul Tripathi added an unbeaten 12 runs.
Delhi’s Enrique Norkia, R Ashwin and Kagiso Rabada took two wickets apiece.
Earlier, after losing the toss in Sharjah, Delhi lost 5 wickets and scored 135 runs. Shikhar Dhawan scored 36 runs. Shreyas Ayre added unbeaten 30 runs.
Kolkata’s Varun Chakraborty took 2 wickets.
