Nepal playes a 1-1 draw match against Bangladesh today


Kathmandu: Nepal has played tie with Bangladesh today at Kalinga Stadium in Bhubaneswar, in the under-20 SAFF Championship. Nepal played a 1-1 draw with Bangladesh.

In a very competitive game, the first half ended in a goalless draw. Both goals created opportunities but could not be scored. Both girls went to the right half.

In the 63rd minute of the game, Bangladesh’s Mohammad Piyas Amhed Nova scored and gave Tally the lead. But within five minutes, Niranjan Malla scored for Nepal and tied the game at one goal each.

Earlier, at the beginning of the second half, there was a handshake between the two players. When there was a fight between the players, the referee showed a red card to Dipesh Gurung and Rahit Subba, who were substitutes on the bench.

Similarly, Shahidul Islam of Bangladesh got a red card along with the yellow card of the right. Due to the fight between the two teams, the game became tense for a while.

The match between India and Maldives at 6:30 pm today will be important for Nepal. Nepal will reach the final only if India loses to Maldives.

If India draws or wins against Maldives, Nepal’s journey will end at the group stage.
