Nepal wins the first ODI against Papua New Guinea (PNG) by two wickets

Kathmandu: Nepal has won the first ODI against Papua New Guinea (PNG) by two wickets. Nepal achieved the target of 135 runs set by PNG by losing eight wickets in 39 overs.

Rahit Padel scored 41 runs for Nepal. Similarly, Ashif Sheikh scored 30, Kushal Bhurtel 15 and Sampal Kami 22 unbeaten runs. After losing seven wickets for 82 runs, Rahit Padel and Sampal Kami shared 52 runs. On the bowling side, PNG’s Gaddy took three wickets.

Similarly, Damen Rabhu and Chad Sapper took two wickets each. PNG, who had earlier won the toss and elected to bat, scored 134 runs in 33 overs. Lega Sika scored 30, Charles Amini 23 and Gaudi Toka 22 for PNG. On the bowling side, Nepal’s Sandeep Lamichhane took four wickets and Sandeep, who bowled 10 overs, took four wickets for 35 runs.

Similarly, Bikram Sob and Kushal Malla took two wickets each. Sompal Kami took one wicket. Nepal and PNG are going to play a two-match ODI series.
