Kathmandu: England defeated Pakistan by 45 runs in the second T20 cricket match.
Batting in reply to England’s target of 201 in Leeds last night, Pakistan lost nine wickets in 20 overs and managed to score only 155 runs. Pakistan’s Mohammad Rizwan added 37, Shadab Khan 36, captain Babar Azam 22 and Imad Wasim 20 runs.
England’s Shakib Mahmood took three wickets while Moil Ali and Adil Rashid took two wickets each while Tom Karan and Matt Parkinson took one wicket each. Earlier, batting first, England were all out for 200 runs in 19 overs. England’s Jose Butler (59), Liam Livingstone (38), Moin Ali (36) and Chris Jordan (14) added half-centuries.
Pakistan’s Mohammad Hasnain took 3 wickets while Haris Rauf and Imad Wasim took 2/2 wickets each. Similarly, Shaheen Sah Afridi and Shadab Khan took one wicket each. With the win, England have drawn 1-1 in a three-match series. Pakistan had beaten England by 31 runs in the first T20.
