Sri Lanka entered Super Four after beatting Bangladesh by 2 wickets

Kathmandu: Sri Lanka has entered the Super Four of the Asia Cup Cricket. Sri Lanka reached the Super Four by defeating Bangladesh by 2 wickets in last night’s match.

With the win, Sri Lanka and Afghanistan have reached the Super Four from Group B. Bangladesh is out.

Sri Lanka achieved the target of 184 runs given by Bangladesh in Dubai by losing 8 wickets in 19 overs and 2 balls.

Kushal Mendis of Sri Lanka scored a half-century of 60 runs. Captain Dasun Sanka added 45 runs and Pathum Nishanka added 20 runs.

Abadot Hossain of Bangladesh took 3 wickets and Taksin Ahmed took 2 wickets. Before that, Bangladesh, who batted first, scored 183 runs after losing 7 wickets in 20 overs. Bangladesh’s Afif Hossain scored 39 runs and Mehdi Hasan added 38 runs.

Sri Lanka’s Wanindu Hasaranga and Chamika Karunaratne took 2 wickets each. India has reached the Super Four from Group ‘A’.

Today there will be a match between Pakistan and Hong Kong. After the Super Four matches, the top two teams will reach the finals.
