Kathmandu: West Indies have won the fifth and final T20I match against Australia by 16 runs. The West Indies also won the series 4-1.
Following the 200-run target set by the West Indies in this morning’s match, Australia lost 9 wickets and managed to score only 183 runs. Australia captain Aaron Finch top-scored with 34 runs. West Indies’ Seldon Cottrell and Andre Russell took three wickets apiece.
Batting first, West Indies lost 8 wickets in the allotted overs and scored 199 runs. West Indies’ Evan Lewis top-scored with 79 runs. Australia’s Andrew Tyle took three wickets and Mitchell Mars and Adam Jampa took two wickets each.
West Indies won the first match by 18 runs, the second match by 56 runs and the third match by 6 wickets. Australia won the fourth match by 4 runs.
