Australia wins the first ODI against the West Indies by 133 runs

Kathmandu: Australia have won their first ODI against the West Indies. After this victory, Australia has taken a 1-0 lead in the three-match ODI series.

Australia beat West Indies by 133 runs in DL format. Batting in reply to Australia’s target of 257, the West Indies were bowled out for 123 in 26 overs with two balls to spare.

Kieran Pollard of West Indies played a half-century innings of 56 runs but the team could not win. Australia’s Mitchell Starc took 5 wickets. Josh Hazlewood took 3 wickets. Earlier, batting first, Australia lost 9 wickets in 49 overs and scored 252 runs. But based on the DL method, West Indies had a target of 257 runs.

Australia captain Alex Kerry played a half-century innings of 67 runs. Hayden Walls of West Indies took 5 wickets. Akil Hussain and Aljari Joseph took 2/2 wickets. The second match between the two teams will be played on Friday.
