Transfer Talks: Balagopal appointed coach of Church boys

Kathmandu: Balgopal Maharjan has been appointed as the coach of Martyrs’ Memorial A division League club Church Boys United.

The Church Boys, who are currently playing the Martyrs’ Memorial A Division League for the first time after becoming champions of the B Division, he hired as a coach today in the middle of the league. Church Boys has announced that he has been coached through the social network Facebook.

Earlier, Pradip Humagai, an American of Nepali origin, was appointed as the head coach by the Church Boys. However, after not getting a work permit, Humagai left the club. After Humagai left, Maharjan was appointed coach, the club said.

Church Boys, who are performing well in their debut season of A Division, are in third place in the table with 13 points from 3 wins and 4 draws. He will take over the training of the church boys from the match against Friends Club to be held at Dasharath Rangshal on Thursday.

Maharjan has previously worked as a coach for Three Star and Manang Marsyangdi and worked as a member of the technical committee of Friends. Under Maharjan’s training, Nepal won the U-19 Championship title and the senior team won the Bangabandhu Gold Cup title.

Similarly, two years ago, they also won the title of the Three Nations Cup at home. Similarly, he also won the title for Kathmandu Razors in the first edition of the Nepal Super League NSL.
