Bangladesh lost 2-0 to Maldives in the SAFF championship

KATHMANDU: Maldives beat Bangladesh 2-0 in the SAAF Championship Football.
Maldives clinched their first victory by defeating Bangladesh 2-0 at the National Stadium in Male last night. Hamza Mohammed and Ali Asfaq scored one goal each in the victory of Maldives.
Hamza scored in the 55th minute to give Maldives an early lead. Then in the 74th minute, Asfaq scored from the penalty spot to give Maldives a 2-0 victory.
In the first match played yesterday, India drew 0-0 with Sri Lanka. India got many opportunities in the game but could not score.
