ICC WCL-2: Nepal beat Papua New Guinea by 4 wickets

Kathmandu – Nepal has defeated Papua New Guinea (PNG) by 4 wickets in the tri-nation ODI series under ICC World Cup Cricket League-2.

Nepal met the target of 204 runs given by PNG by losing 6 wickets in 45 overs of 2 balls. Kushal Bhurtel scored the highest 56 runs for Nepal.

Similarly, Asif Sheikh scored 44 runs and Arif Sheikh scored 33 runs. On the bowling side, PNG’s Asad Bhala took 3 wickets.

Earlier, PNG, who lost the toss and batted at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium, scored 203 runs by losing 9 wickets in the scheduled 50 overs.

Asad Bhala and Chad Saper scored 36 runs each. On the bowling side, Nepal’s Gulshan Jha took 3 wickets and Kushal Malla took 2 wickets.

Likewise, Sempal Kami, Karan KC and Pratis JC took 1/1 wicket each. Nepal has made a record of 5 consecutive victories in ODI cricket by winning the fifth consecutive victory in League-2.

Earlier, Nepal defeated Scotland and Namibia in 2/2 matches in the home match. After this victory, Nepal is at the sixth place in the table with 28 points in 29 games. PNG is at the bottom of the table with 5 points from 29 games.
