Kathmandu: UAE has given a target of 82 runs to Nepal in the first semi-final of the ACC Women’s T-Championship.
After losing the toss on the shores of Malaysia, UAE batted first and were all out for 81 runs in 19 overs. Vaishnavi Mahesh of UAE top scored with 16 runs.
Similarly, Isha Rohit added 15 runs and captain Chhaya Mughal added 14 runs. Ashmina Karmacharya of Nepal took 5 wickets.
Similarly, Indu Burma took 3 wickets and Sita Ranamagar took 2 wickets. If Nepal defeats UAE in today’s match, it will be selected for the Asia Cup. India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka and Thailand are in the Asia Cup.
Nepal reached the semifinals as runners-up in Group B and UAE as winners in Group A. In the other semi-final, the match between Group A runners-up Malaysia and Group B winners Hong Kong will start at 12 noon.
In the first match, Nepal defeated Bhutan by 50 runs, Kuwait by 25 runs, Bahrain by 8 wickets and Hong Kong by 7 wickets. But UAE is an undefeated team. The final game will be tomorrow.
