Kathmandu: Nepal lost to India 2-1 in the second friendly match at Dashratha Stadium Tripureshwar.
Though the first half of the match ended in a goalless draw at Dasharath Stadium, India scored two goals and Nepal scored one goal in the second half.
Farooq Haji Chaudhary scored the second goal for India in the 62nd minute and captain Sunil Chhetri in the 80th minute. Tej Tamang scored a goal for Nepal in the 86th minute but it was not enough to equalize or win.
In the game, Nepal could not score even though they got many chances to score. Earlier, the first friendly match played last Thursday ended in a 1-1 draw.
Nepal and India have played a friendly match to prepare for the SAAF Championship to be held in Maldives from 15 to 30 September.
