Nepal lost to Kuwait by 3 runs in the Quadrangular Twenty20 Series

Kathmandu – Nepal has lost to Kuwait by 3 runs in the final of the Quadrangular Twenty20 International cricket series.

Chasing a target of 175 runs set by Kuwait, Nepal lost all their wickets after scoring 171 runs in 19 overs and 3 balls. Nepal’s Bashir Ahmed scored 80 runs and Nandan Yadav scored 37 runs. When Nepal scored 92 runs and lost 8 wickets, Bashir and Nandan shared a 72-run partnership for the ninth wicket. Kuwait’s Anudeep Chenthamara took 3 wickets.

Earlier, Kuwait, who were invited to bat after losing the toss at the Mission Road ground in Hong Kong, scored 174 runs for the loss of 7 wickets in 20 overs. Kuwait’s Ravija Sandaruwan scored 63 runs. Nepal’s Sompal Kami and Nandan Yadav took 2 wickets each. Nepal reached the finals by finishing top and Kuwait in second place in the competition.

Similarly, in the third place match today, Hong Kong defeated Qatar by 1 run. Chasing a target of 189 runs set by Hong Kong, Qatar could only score 187 runs for the loss of 5 wickets in 20 overs.
