Royal Central Sports wins the 1st U-23 men’s basketball title

Kathmandu: Royal Central Sports has won the first U-23 men’s basketball title in the nationwide sports. Royal defeated Times 66-57 in the final at the Covered Hall in Nayabazar, Kirtipur on Tuesday and won a prize of Rs 1 lakh.

The second-ranked Times got 50,000. Royal’s Nikesh Rakhal Magar scored 22. Royal took the lead 23-18 in the first quarter. Royal took a 22-16 lead in the second quarter and trailed 8-10 in the third. The fourth and final quarter ended in a 13-13 draw.

Royal’s Nikesh ‘Most Valuable Player’ and Times ’Shreyash Shah Emerging Player in the competition organized by the Central Basketball Department under Madan Bhandari Sports Academy.

Happened Both received 10,000 prizes each. The winners were awarded by President of Madan Bhandari Sports Academy Dhruv Acharya, Deputy General Secretary of the Academy Subarna Shrestha, former cricketer Shakti Gauchan, President of Nepal Basketball Association Bhim Singh Gurung, former Mayor of Kirtipur Municipality Ramesh Maharjan and others.
