Kathmandu – Laos defeated Bhutan in the Prime Minister’s Cup Three Nations Cup. Laos defeated Bhutan by 2-1 in the match held at Dasharath Stadium in Tripureshwar on Saturday.
Bonpachan Bonkong scored two goals for Laos and Chencho Galsen scored one goal for Bhutan.
Baenkang from Laos scored in the fourth minute of the game and in the 71st minute of the second half. For Bhutan, Galsen scored a goal in the 34th minute of the game.
With the win, Laos have added 3 points from two matches. Bhutan has not been able to add points. Nepal is at the top position with 3 points when the two matches of the league stage are over.
Nepal will play their next match against Bhutan on Chait 14th. The top two teams will play on Chait 17 for the title in the single round robin competition.
According to ANFA, the winner will get 5,000 US dollars, and the second runner-up will get 3,000 dollars.
The best player of the tournament will get 500 US dollars and the man of the match will get 250 dollars.
