England beat West Indies in T20 Cricket World Cup

KATHMANDU: England have beaten defending champions West Indies by six wickets in the ICC T20 Cricket World Cup.

England completed the target of 56 runs set by West Indies in the game in UAE last night by losing 4 wickets in 8 overs 2 balls. Jose Butler remained unbeaten on 24 in England’s victory.

Captain Ian Morgan remained unbeaten on 7 runs. Jason Roy was dismissed for 11 while Johnny Bairstow scored nine runs. Earlier, batting first after losing the toss, West Indies were all out for 55 runs in 14 overs. Chris Gayle top-scored for the West Indies with 13 runs.

Australia beat South Africa by five wickets in the first match of Group A of the Super 12. Australia, who had set a target of 119, lost five wickets in 19 overs. Super 12 matches have started in T20 Cricket World Cup from today.
