The home team England has won with a new record in their 5th and final Test match against India. England completed the target of 378 runs set by India by losing three wickets just before the fifth day’s lunch.

England have set a record by completing the biggest goal in their Test history so far. With the victory, the five-match Test series has ended in a two-on-two draw.

Earlier, England had completed the target of 359 runs in the match against Australia in Leeds in 2019.

England’s Joy Root and Johnny Bresta were not out for 142 and 114 runs respectively. Bresta has scored four centuries in the last five games.

Root and Bresta shared 254 runs for England, who lost three wickets for 100 runs. Root has also scored several centuries in the match against India.

After taking a lead of 132 runs in the first innings, India scored 245 runs in the second innings and England got a target of 378 runs overall.

The fifth Test was called off last year after four Tests in a five-match series were confirmed after a corona infection was confirmed in the player.

India and England have now played their fifth Test in last year’s series.
