Kathmandu: Hong Kong has qualified for the Asia Cup cricket after defeating the UAE by 8 wickets on Yesterday night.

Hong Kong qualified for the Asia Cup after defeating the UAE in a match at the Emirates Stadium in the UAE.

With the win, Hong Kong has 6 points in 3 games. Hong Kong found the target of 148 runs given by UAE by losing 2 wickets in 19 overs. Hong Kong’s Yaseem Murtaza scored a half-century of 58 runs.

UAE’s Junaid Siddiqui and Basil Hamid took 1 wicket each. Before that, UAE, who batted first, scored 147 runs in 19 overs in 3 balls.

Hong Kong’s Ishan Khan took 4 wickets and Ayush Shukla took 3 wickets. The Asia Cup is starting from next Saturday.

Hong Kong is in Group ‘A’ with India and Pakistan. 6 countries are participating in the competition. The participating teams are divided into two groups.

Hong Kong will play their first match against India on August 31. Group B consists of Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and Afghanistan.
