Nepal defeated PNG by 37 runs, Karan KC took 5 wickets with a hat trick

Kathmandu: Nepal defeated Papua New Guinea (PNG) by 37 runs in the tri-nation Twenty20 International Cricket Series. Following the target of 204 runs given by Nepal, PNG was all out for 166 runs in 19 overs with four balls to spare.

Karan KC of Nepal took five wickets for a hat trick. Karan took five wickets for 21 runs in three overs. Similarly, Sompal Kami and Avinash Bahara took two wickets each while Sandeep Lamichhane took one wicket.

Earlier, after losing the toss at the Tribhuvan Cricket Ground in Kirtipur, Nepal lost seven wickets in the allotted 20 overs and scored 203 runs. Dipendra Singh Airy was the top scorer for Nepal with 66 runs.

Similarly, Rahit Padel scored 41 and Ashif Sheikh 38 while Adil Alam, who made his T20I debut, scored 31 off 11 balls. Similarly, Kaushal Bhurtel scored 17, Arif Sheikh scored two not out and Karan KC scored one.

On the bowling side, PNG’s Kabua Mare took three wickets. Similarly, Riley Hikure took two wickets while Norman Vanua and Nasina Paekna took one wicket each.
