Kathmandu – Nepal has entered the second round of FIFA World Cup 2024 qualifiers by defeating Laos by a goal in the New Laos Stadium today.

In the second leg of the preliminary stage of the World Cup Qualifier held at the New Laos National Stadium on Tuesday, Nepal defeated the home team 1-0 and won 2-1 on aggregate and reached the second stage.
Manish Dangi sang in Nepal’s victory. In the 52nd minute of the game, Manish scored on Anjan Bista’s pass. During the injury time of the game, Nepal’s captain Kiran Chemjaeng made an excellent save and maintained the lead of the team.
Last Thursday, Nepal was tied 1-1 with Laos in the home match at Dashrath Stadium.
Now Nepal will play against the winner between Bahrain and UAE and Yemen and Sri Lanka in Group ‘H’ on the basis of ‘home and away’ selection in the second round.
