Kathmandu: Chitwan Rhinos have made a winning start in the Nepal Premier League (NPL).
In the first match on Sunday, Chitwan defeated Kathmandu Gurkhas by 5 wickets and added 2 points.
Chitwan completed the target of 112 runs given by Kathmandu by losing 5 wickets after playing 17 overs.
Santosh Karki remained unbeaten and scored the most 28 runs for Chitwan. Santosh hit 2 fours and 1 six while playing 31 balls.
Luke Benkenstein contributed 22 runs. Sharad Bheshavkar remained unbeaten on 11 runs.
Although Shahab Alam took 3 wickets for Kathmandu, it was not enough to prevent Chitwan from winning.
Before that, Kathmandu, who lost the toss after taking 5 wickets, scored 111 runs after losing 9 wickets in 20 overs.
Kathmandu’s Sumit Maharjan scored 29 and Michael Levitt scored 25 runs. Sohail Tanvir of Chitwan took 5 wickets with 21 runs in 4 overs.
