KATHMANDU: Pakistan have won their second T20 cricket match against the West Indies. Pakistan beat West Indies by 7 runs in Guinea last night.
With this victory, Pakistan has taken a 1-0 lead in the four-match series. The first game was fruitless due to rain. Batting in reply to Pakistan’s target of 158, West Indies lost 4 wickets in 20 overs and managed to score only 150 runs.
For the West Indies, Nicholas Puran played an unbeaten half-century innings but could not win the team. Pakistan’s Shahin Shah, Afridi, Mohammad Hafeez, Hasan Ali and Mohammad Wasim took 1/1 wickets. Earlier, batting first, Pakistan lost 8 wickets in 20 overs and scored 157 runs.
For Pakistan, captain Babar Azam played a half-century innings of 51 runs. Mohammad Rizwan added 46 runs. Along with this, Rizwan has also set the record of the player who has scored many T20 runs in a single year.
Rizwan broke Ireland’s record by scoring 752 runs in 2021. Sterling had set a record by adding 748 runs in 2019. Jason Holder of West Indies took 4 wickets and Dwayne Bravo took 2 wickets.
