Netherlands qualified for the World Cup after beating Scotland by five wickets

Kathmandu – The Netherlands have been selected for the ICC ODI World Cup by winning over Scotland.

In the ‘Super Six’ match of the ICC World Cup Qualifier, the Netherlands met the target of 278 runs given by Scotland in 42 overs in 5 balls after losing 5 wickets.

In order to qualify for the World Cup, the Netherlands had to complete the target of 278 runs given by Scotland in 44 overs.

Bas de Liede scored a century for the Netherlands. He was dismissed after scoring 123 runs off 92 balls.

Similarly, Bikramjit Singh scored 40 runs and Saqib Zulfiqar scored 33 runs not out. On the bowling side, Scotland’s Michael Lisk took 2 wickets.

Scotland, who lost the toss and were invited to bat at Queen’s Sports Club in Zimbabwe, scored 277 runs for the loss of 9 wickets in the scheduled 50 overs.

Brandon McMullen scored a century for Scotland. He got out after scoring 106 runs off 110 balls.

Similarly, captain Richie Berrington scored 64 runs and Thomas McIntosh scored 38 runs not out. On the bowling side, Bas de Leede from the Netherlands took 5 wickets.

Along with this, the two games to reach the World Cup from the ‘Super Six’ are coming to an end. Sri Lanka has already been selected for the World Cup.
